Job Description

Overview

As a Human Resources Technician at Société de transport de Sherbrooke, you will provide administrative support in various HR functions, including documentation management, training, and workplace health and safety. You will be responsible for coordinating investigations on accidents, contributing to the training activities, and ensuring compliance with health and safety practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and participate in accident investigations and analyses, ensuring follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Support the health and safety committee by tracking points and progress.
  • Assist in the implementation and updating of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Organize training activities related to health and safety and follow up on policies and legal requirements.
  • Update key HR documents, including work condition files and organizational charts.
  • Manage HR documentation and process administrative requests.
  • Follow up on grievances, pilot projects, and agreements, preparing appropriate responses.
  • Support training planning and administrative follow-up alongside HR team members.
  • Participate in the organization of employee engagement and wellness activities.
  • Manage the active mobility program and health encouragement initiatives.
  • Perform other related tasks as required by the role.

Required skills

  • DEC in Human Resources or relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar or related position
  • Knowledge of HR practices, labor relations, and workplace health and safety
  • Excellent proficiency in spoken and written French
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • High professionalism regarding confidentiality and discretion
  • Strong organizational skills and teamwork capabilities
  • Good time management and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent customer service skills
