Overview

Les Entreprises C. Sauvé Inc. is a well-established construction company in the civil engineering sector, seeking a Technicien en génie civil to join their team of about twenty employees. The role requires project management skills, cost estimation, and team leadership in various construction tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage projects and act as a contractor's representative
  • Estimate costs and calculate quantities
  • Supervise construction activities
  • Prepare workshop plans and drawings
  • Verify plans and workshop drawings
  • Prepare progress claims and payment requests
  • Coordinate project activities
  • Execute and monitor construction work from start to finish
  • Lead and coordinate a work team
  • Implement and survey using robotic stations, GPS systems, and other surveying instruments

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree, college diploma, or AEC in civil engineering or construction engineering
  • Valid Quebec driver's license and vehicle
  • ASP construction card with WHMIS 2015 certification
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Knowledge of MS Project
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and surveying techniques
  • Autonomy and ability to work under pressure
  • Decision-making skills and adaptability
