Overview

The Technician, Measurement & Corrosion at Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline will focus on maintaining expertise in the gas measurement and corrosion function. This role involves installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics related to gas measurement and corrosion mitigation systems in natural gas pipeline systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Install, test, repair, and maintain gas measurement and corrosion mitigation systems.
  • Troubleshoot and configure natural gas chromatographs and moisture analyzers.
  • Maintain custody and non-custody meters and flow computers.
  • Review gas measurement data for accuracy.
  • Perform calibration and maintenance of various measurement equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Assist in training and collaborating with other engineers and technicians.
  • Conduct pipeline corrosion surveys and maintain documentation.
  • Design and repair cathodic protection facilities.

Required skills

  • Experience with gas measurement and corrosion monitoring.
  • Knowledge of natural gas systems and related equipment.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and insurability.
  • NACE certification.
