We don't just build products-we make them easy to understand, install, and enjoy, and that starts with clear, well-crafted documentation.As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Technical Writer to take the lead on the written content behind our products throughout their lifecycle.Position SummaryImportant: This role follows a hybrid schedule based out of our Wheeling, IL office and is not a fully remote position.The Technical Writer creates, maintains, and improves clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical documentation for Bathing Brands products. This role supports product launches by developing installation manuals (IOMs) and related print materials using information gathered from cross-functional partners.This role will serve as the primary technical writing resource on the team, working closely with internal partners rather than operating as a separate documentation function.The position works closely with Product Design, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to help ensure documentation is complete, consistent, and aligned with product launch timelines.This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on documentation work and is continuing to build their technical writing experience.Key Responsibilities Create and maintain Installation & Operating Manuals (IOMs) for new and existing productsDevelop and update technical print materials associated with product launchesGather, organize, and verify technical information from internal subject matter experts (SMEs), including:Product dimensions and specificationsFeatures, inclusions, and usage detailsInstallation requirements and safety informationSupport documentation timelines in alignment with product launchesReview documentation for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and usabilityMaintain version control and revision history for technical documentsCollaborate cross-functionally with Product Design, Marketing, Web Content, and Operations teamsEdit and proofread technical content as neededAssist with updates to existing documentation as products evolve Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in manufacturing, consumer products, or a related fieldAbility to translate technical information into clear, concise documentationStrong written communication and editing skills with attention to detailExperience working with cross-functional teams and subject matter expertsComfortable managing multiple documents and deadlines Preferred Qualifications Experience writing installation manuals, operating instructions, or product documentationFamiliarity with product launch or new product introduction (NPI) processesExperience in home improvement, plumbing, bath, or consumer durable goods industriesProficiency with Microsoft Word and document formatting standardsBasic understanding of diagrams, technical drawings, or product schematics BenefitsBathing Brands offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support our teammates' health, financial well-being, and work-life balance, including: Company-subsidized medical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid life insurance, with voluntary disability and supplemental coverage options401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid Time Off (PTO) and paid company holidaysCommunity Day for volunteer serviceEmployee referral programFull benefit eligibility and details are shared during the offer process About Bathing BrandsWe're not just building bathing products-we're building intentional experiences.
