Overview

WestRock is looking for a Technical Trainer in Plymouth, Indiana to assist with local training processes. This role will be vital in ensuring team members achieve Operator/Craft Job Certification through daily technical training and assessments.

Key responsibilities

  • Completes daily technical training on the floor for team member certification
  • Supports New Hire Orientation and Onboarding Training
  • Tracks and evaluates training using company tools
  • Creates site-specific technical learning solutions
  • Builds relationships with trainees and leaders
  • Participates in the new teammate hiring process
  • Conducts training on all shifts
  • Influences a safety-minded culture
  • Assists in managing day-to-day certification processes

Required skills

  • 1-3 years of experience in conducting training in a manufacturing environment
  • 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems
  • Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Forms)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Facilitation and presentation skills
  • Influencing and partnering abilities
