Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWhat will Technical Support Level 1 do?The successful candidate for this position will work under the supervision of the Technical Support Manager and the Client Operations Manager to be trained to provide technical support for large weather station networks. The position will also interface as first-level customer support for incoming phone calls to be completed with customer-first service or escalated to other departments. They will also be responsible for completing weekly internal and client-facing deliverables, including station health checks of their assigned network to ensure proper operation, and preparing and submitting status reports to the Client Operations team and the client. The position may require travel to weather stations in the surrounding areas, including multi-day trips. Responsibilities90% - Provide Technical Support to Western Weather Group Clients• Task Tracker - Maintain accurate and precise weekly task tracker updates to track internal and external deliverables• Support Calls - Provide technical and/or customer support to weather station client representatives over phone, text, or email • Validations - Review submitted support call details to ensure records and configurations are accurate• Identify Issues - Review and escalate station or application issues to ensure efficient operation• Network Health Checks - Critically analyze and interpret data and provide reports and findings• Data Entry - Accurately enter data into custom data platform and Microsoft products• Data Analysis Requests - Prepare responses to client data and information requests utilizing M365 applications• Client and Vendor Communication - Communicate and troubleshoot equipment or services with vendor representatives or directly to clients5-10% - Station, Sensor, and Component Testing• RMA - Perform standardized returned material authorization testing and record results as pass or fail• QAQC - Review other team members' data entry for QC/QA purposes 0-5% - Travel• Installation and maintenance/calibration of weather stations with possible work in inclement weather • Train clients utilizing prepared documentation and equipment to properly install and maintain weather stationsHow do we support your career?• Company-wide and anonymous feedback sessions to help guide beneficial changes• Open and receptive lines of communication to management and executives• Continuing education opportunities, including discretionary educational reimbursementWhat is in it for you?• This position pays $25-$30 per hour (depending on experience level) • 401k retirement 4% matching contributions• Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance (90% of employee premium paid by employer, 50% premium paid by employer for eligible dependents)• Discretionary 401k profit sharing• Performance-based cash bonuses• Fun work-sponsored outings to bond with colleagues• A company that cares about the well-being of its employees• Hybrid remote working environment and alternative working schedule opportunities are available for employees exceeding expectations and goalsMinimum Requirements• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Copilot)• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills (telephone and written communication experience)• Valid driver's license and clean driving record• Ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs• Ability to walk up and down stairs, sit or stand for extended periods of time, and ability to withstand extended walking, sometimes on uneven terrain, walkways, and hills while in the field• Ability to work with hand/power tools & knowledge of low voltage/DC circuits and testing equipment• Task-oriented and able to independently deliver to schedule• Ability to follow documented procedures and SOPsPreferred Skills• B. S. Degree in engineering, meteorology or equivalent STEM BS from an accredited university or 2+ years of field
