Overview

As a Technical Solutions Trainer at Astound, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs that prepare employees to excel in customer interactions, sales performance, and technical support. This role involves collaborating with operational leaders and developing training materials that align with the company's goals and industry standards, all while fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver training programs for customer service teams and field technicians
  • Develop and maintain training materials, including manuals and e-learning content
  • Conduct engaging training sessions covering sales techniques, installation, and troubleshooting
  • Facilitate role-play and scenario-based exercises to enhance communication and problem-solving skills
  • Monitor trainee progress and provide timely coaching and feedback
  • Ensure training incorporates safety compliance and best practices
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend program improvements
  • Maintain accurate training records and certification documentation

Required skills

  • 5+ years of technical installation and troubleshooting experience
  • 2+ years of facilitation and sales experience preferred
  • Proficiency in RF theory, digital theory, RF design, fiber optics, and IP networking
  • Experience training, coaching, or mentoring in customer service and technical operations
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications products and services
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple training classes and deadlines
  • Instructional design skills, including adult learning theory and curriculum development
  • Valid driver's license
