Overview

Astound is seeking a Technical Solutions Trainer to deliver high-quality training programs for customer service teams and field technicians. This role focuses on enhancing employees' skills in sales performance, installation procedures, troubleshooting, and customer interactions, while aligning training with business goals and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct engaging training sessions for sales, customer service, installation, and trouble-call processes.
  • Deliver hands-on technical training for new-hire field technicians.
  • Facilitate role-play and scenario-based exercises to improve communication and sales skills.
  • Provide coaching and performance assessments throughout the training cycle.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, manuals, and e-learning content.
  • Monitor trainee progress and ensure effective training outcomes.
  • Reinforce safety standards and compliance during training sessions.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders and subject-matter experts.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and metrics.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of technical installation and troubleshooting experience.
  • 2+ years of facilitation and leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in RF theory, digital theory, fiber optics, IP networking, and telephony.
  • Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring in customer service and technical operations.
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications products and services.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple training classes.
  • Instructional design knowledge including adult learning theory.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.
  • Valid driver's license.
