Overview

Astound is a leading provider of internet, WiFi, mobile, and TV services, and is looking for a Technical Solutions Trainer. This role is essential for delivering training programs that equip employees with skills in customer interactions, sales performance, and technical support, ensuring they excel in providing exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality training programs for customer service and technical operations.
  • Develop curriculum and training materials in partnership with the internal curriculum design team.
  • Conduct engaging training sessions, including hands-on technical training for field technicians.
  • Evaluate trainee performance and provide coaching throughout the training cycle.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to keep training content current.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards in training, including field safety best practices.
  • Conduct periodic safety refreshers and toolbox talks.
  • Monitor and maintain training records and documentation.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of technical installation and troubleshooting experience.
  • 2+ years of facilitation and leadership experience.
  • Proficient in RF theory, Digital Theory, RF Design, Fiber Optics, and IP networking basics.
  • Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring in customer service and technical environments.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications products and services.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple training classes and deadlines.
  • Instructional design knowledge including adult learning theory.
