Overview

Astound is seeking a Technical Solutions Trainer in San Marcos, Texas, to deliver high-quality training programs that equip employees with the skills needed for exceptional customer interactions and technical support. This role will focus on training staff in sales techniques, installation procedures, and troubleshooting, ensuring alignment with company goals and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver training programs for sales, customer service, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain training materials and curriculum in collaboration with the internal design team.
  • Evaluate trainee performance and provide coaching throughout the training cycle.
  • Conduct role-play, simulations, and scenario-based exercises to enhance skills.
  • Train new-hire technicians on installation best practices and safety procedures.
  • Monitor trainee progress and adjust training strategies as needed.
  • Ensure training content reflects current products and standards.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts for ongoing program improvements.
  • Reinforce compliance with safety protocols and field operations standards.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of Technical Installation and Troubleshooting Experience
  • 2+ years of facilitation and leadership experience
  • Proficiency in RF theory, Digital Theory, Fiber Optics, IP networking, and telephony
  • Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring in customer service and technical environments
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications products and services
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple classes
  • Instructional design knowledge including adult learning theory
  • Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record
