Overview

Astound is seeking a Technical Solutions Trainer to deliver comprehensive training programs for employees in customer service and technical operations. This role supports both front-line teams and technicians, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in various technical and customer-facing roles.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality training programs focused on customer interactions, sales performance, and installation procedures.
  • Conduct engaging training sessions using hands-on methods and instructional design principles.
  • Evaluate trainee performance and provide coaching to support skill development.
  • Maintain and update training materials in collaboration with the internal curriculum design team.
  • Ensure all training reflects current products, safety standards, and customer-experience expectations.
  • Monitor progress and assess the effectiveness of training through feedback and performance metrics.
  • Enforce safety compliance and provide instruction on workplace safety practices.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure training materials meet current regulations and best practices.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of technical installation and troubleshooting experience
  • 2+ years of facilitation and sales experience
  • Proficiency in RF theory, Digital Theory, Fiber Optics, IP networking, and telecommunications products
  • Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring in customer service and technical operations
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple classes
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design
