Overview

Astound is seeking a Technical Solutions Trainer to deliver high-quality training programs that enable employees to excel in customer interactions, sales performance, installation procedures, and trouble-call resolution. This role plays a critical part in supporting front-line customer service teams and field technicians, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to provide exceptional service and technical support.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver training programs for sales, customer service, installation, and trouble-call processes.
  • Conduct hands-on technical training sessions for field technicians.
  • Facilitate engaging role-play, simulations, and scenario-based exercises.
  • Evaluate trainee performance and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to align training with business goals.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, job aids, manuals, and e-learning content.
  • Monitor trainee progress and implement improvements based on feedback.
  • Educate employees on safety compliance and proper use of equipment.
  • Reinforce company policies and customer experience standards.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of Technical Installation and Troubleshooting Experience
  • 2+ years of facilitation, leadership and sales experience
  • Proficient in RF theory, Digital Theory, RF Design, Fiber Optics, IP networking basics, and telephony
  • Experience training, coaching, or mentoring in a service, sales, or technical operations environment
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications products and services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills to manage training classes and deadlines
  • Instructional design knowledge including adult learning theory and curriculum development
  • Valid Driver's license and clean driving record
