Job Description

Overview

Astound is looking for a Technical Solutions Trainer to deliver training programs that enhance customer interactions, sales performance, installation procedures, and trouble-call resolution while meeting safety compliance expectations. This role involves supporting customer service teams and field technicians, ensuring they are well-equipped to provide exceptional service and technical support.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality training programs for customer service and technical operations
  • Conduct engaging training sessions for new and existing employees in sales, customer service, and technical processes
  • Evaluate trainee performance and provide coaching and feedback
  • Create and update training materials and e-learning content
  • Teach equipment setup, installation best practices, troubleshooting workflows, and safety procedures
  • Monitor trainee progress and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
  • Facilitate role-play and scenario-based exercises to enhance skills
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to incorporate new technologies into training programs
  • Conduct safety training and maintain safety compliance documentation

Required skills

  • 5+ years of technical installation and troubleshooting experience
  • 2+ years of facilitation and leadership experience
  • Proficient in RF theory, Digital Theory, RF Design, Fiber Optics, IP networking, electricity, electronics, and safety co
  • Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring within customer service and technical environments
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications products and services
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Instructional design knowledge and skills, including adult learning theory and curriculum development
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel
