Overview

Bigbelly is looking for a Technical Product Manager to oversee the lifecycle of their smart waste and recycling system. This role merges hardware engineering with IoT technology, working with various teams to ensure the product meets sustainability goals and customer needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Define product strategy and roadmap
  • Conduct customer and market research
  • Manage product backlog and prioritize features
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, sales, and marketing teams
  • Monitor key performance indicators and user data for product improvement
  • Communicate product updates and value to stakeholders
  • Assist in developing pricing strategies for products
  • Monitor global market changes and regulatory requirements

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of product management experience, particularly with physical products
  • Experience with hardware product lifecycle from concept to production
  • Technical familiarity with mechanical devices, firmware, IoT communications, and cloud-based software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with generative AI tools for research and content creation
  • Familiarity with hardware design processes and tools like SolidWorks
  • Familiarity with PLM systems such as Arena
