Overview

Big Belly Solar LLC is looking for a Technical Product Manager in Needham, MA, to lead the lifecycle of their innovative smart waste and recycling systems. This role combines the management of hardware and IoT technologies, ensuring that products support sustainability goals while working closely with various teams across the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Conduct customer and market research to identify opportunities
  • Manage product backlog and prioritize features
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product launches
  • Analyze data and KPIs to inform product improvements
  • Communicate product updates and vision to stakeholders
  • Develop pricing strategies for physical products
  • Monitor global market requirements and regulations

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of product management experience focused on physical products
  • Experience managing hardware product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools for research
  • Knowledge of mechanical devices, firmware, IoT communications, and cloud software
  • Experience with CAD tools like SolidWorks and PLM systems
