Overview

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Technical Lead Member Engineering Staff - Systems Security Engineer with a focus on Information Assurance and NSA Type-1 Cryptography. This role is critical in developing systems and equipment that protect classified National Security information and involves working on high-assurance encryption products fundamental to national defense. The position, based in Camden, New Jersey, emphasizes technical leadership, collaboration, and innovation in security solutions for defense and intelligence community customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Apply security and cryptography expertise throughout the Systems Engineering lifecycle.
  • Support the design, development, and testing of security solutions for Defense and Intelligence customers.
  • Develop and verify security requirements and support security architecture development.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Information Assurance, Security, and Cryptography.
  • Support NSA certification activities and secure networking integration for Type-1 cryptographic systems.
  • Travel up to 10% as required.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • Active DoD security clearance required (SECRET minimum).
  • 12+ years of Systems Engineering experience supporting Information Assurance systems.
  • Expertise in the Systems Engineering lifecycle and architecture development.
  • Experience with security verification and system integration.
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience.
  • Knowledge of NSA Type-1 certification processes.
  • Familiarity with cryptographic algorithms and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
  • Experience with secure networking protocols and embedded Linux development.
