Job Description Job Description Description: JOB SUMMARYThe Technical Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing supply of technical and engineered components, materials, and services required to support manufacturing and business operations. This role will work closely with a variety of departments including Engineering, Operations, Quality, Logistics, and Suppliers to ensure materials are available, meet quality standards, follow on-time delivery while supporting continuous improvement activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Source and procure technical components, raw materials, assemblies, equipment and services in support of operational requirements. Evaluate supplier pricing, lead times, overall performance, and capacity to ensure reliable supply.Set up and maintain main data in SAPGenerate, create, alter, and cancel purchase ordersObtain and enter purchase order confirmations from suppliers to SAPCoordinate with suppliers and KEB departments for direct or indirect materialDetermine whether air freight or sea freight is necessary for goods coming from international vendorsObtain quotes for and source items /servicesUpdate purchase orders to reflect current information regarding the status of inbound goods to KEB AmericaAssist with inventory managementFollow up on or expedite purchase ordersCreate and update vendor informationAssist in the part change processAssist in new part creationPurchasing, procurement, or planning projects/tasks as assignedFollow safety rules and keep clean/orderly work areaPerform other duties as required or assigned Job Description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
