Job Description

Overview

As a Team Leader at Daniel Defense, you will lead a manufacturing team on the D shift (Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 7 PM to 7:30 AM) to achieve daily production goals. Your role involves overseeing team performance, ensuring safety and quality, and implementing continuous improvement processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 5-9 employees in a manufacturing environment
  • Provide training and development to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Set, monitor, and meet daily production goals and metric reporting
  • Ensure timely start and end of shifts and breaks
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and lead by example
  • Implement and audit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Utilize Lean tools for continuous improvement in processes
  • Demonstrate commitment to environmental health and safety principles

Required skills

  • Associate's degree in manufacturing or related field
  • 3 years of previous manufacturing experience
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong teamwork and cooperative skills
  • Good time management and attention to detail
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work under deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Experience with safety protocols and Personal Protection Equipment
