Overview

The Patient Access Team Lead at L.E. Cox Medical Centers is responsible for overseeing the Patient Access team, which includes training staff, auditing work, and ensuring accurate patient registrations. The role involves managing patient accounts, collecting payments, and performing clerical tasks as needed.

Key responsibilities

  • Train and assist in the development of training materials for the team
  • Audit work and follow up on end of day logs and personal posting logs
  • Perform corrections on patient accounts and merge duplicate accounts
  • Collect and post money due, ensuring accurate financial handling
  • Register all new and established patients and verify patient demographics
  • Verify insurance codes, policy, and group numbers
  • Perform clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, and answering telephones
  • Assist the supervisor with special projects and additional tasks as assigned

Required skills
