Overview

The Team Lead for Billing, Financial & Insurance Assistance & Revenue Cycle Oversight at Connecticut Institute for Communities, Inc. is responsible for managing key components of the revenue cycle, including oversight of both outsourced billing services and internal patient billing activities. This role ensures patients receive timely access to financial assistance while maintaining compliance and strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee internal and outsourced billing services and financial assistance activities.
  • Act as the internal liaison between CIFC Health and billing vendors.
  • Monitor revenue cycle performance metrics and identify discrepancies or trends.
  • Coordinate issue resolution and corrective actions with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate revenue capture.
  • Provide supervision and support to the Financial & Insurance Assistance team.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare billing requirements and organizational policies.
  • Promote professional interactions with patients and ensure timely payment processes.

Required skills

  • Fluency in English; Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred.
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills.
  • Experience in medical billing and supervisory roles.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations and billing practices.
