Overview

The Team Lead for Billing, Financial & Insurance Assistance & Revenue Cycle Oversight at the Connecticut Institute for Communities, Inc. will manage key components of the revenue cycle, ensuring efficient processes for both internal and outsourced billing services. This role is essential for providing patients with timely insurance enrollment and financial assistance, while maintaining compliance with healthcare billing standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee revenue cycle performance metrics and billing activities
  • Serve as the liaison between CIFC Health and the outsourced billing vendor
  • Review billing and financial reports to identify discrepancies
  • Coordinate issue resolution and corrective actions with stakeholders
  • Ensure timely posting and reconciliation of insurance payments
  • Oversee internal billing processes for self-pay and sliding fee accounts
  • Monitor self-pay balances and collections activity
  • Provide supervision and support to the Financial & Insurance Assistance team
  • Ensure compliance with eligibility determinations and documentation practices
  • Promote professional patient interactions

Required skills

  • Fluency in English; Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
  • Leadership and analytical skills
  • Experience in medical billing and supervisory roles
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience in healthcare financial assistance and collections
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships
