Overview

The Team Lead at Connecticut Institute for Communities will oversee key aspects of the revenue cycle, focusing on internal and outsourced billing services and financial assistance. This role ensures patients access insurance and financial assistance while maintaining compliance and accurate billing processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee revenue cycle performance metrics and coordinate with outsourced billing vendors.
  • Review billing reports to identify discrepancies and compliance issues.
  • Ensure timely posting and reconciliation of insurance payments.
  • Manage internal billing processes for self-pay and sliding fee accounts.
  • Supervise the Financial & Insurance Assistance team.
  • Monitor staff schedules to optimize patient access to services.
  • Promote professional patient interactions and compliance with policies.

Required skills

  • Fluency in English; Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in medical billing and revenue-related operations
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
