Overview

The Team Lead for Billing, Financial & Insurance Assistance & Revenue Cycle Oversight at the Connecticut Institute for Communities, Inc. will manage essential components of the revenue cycle, ensuring patients have timely access to financial and insurance assistance services. This role requires overseeing both internal and outsourced billing processes while maintaining compliance and strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee revenue cycle performance metrics and claim submission timeliness
  • Monitor discrepancies in billing and financial reports
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate revenue capture
  • Ensure timely posting and reconciliation of insurance payments
  • Supervise the Financial & Insurance Assistance team and ensure compliant access to programs
  • Provide coaching and support to team members
  • Manage staff schedules for optimal patient access
  • Promote patient-centered care principles and respectful interactions

Required skills

  • Fluency in English; Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in medical billing and supervisory roles
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum 4 years in medical billing, 2 years in a leadership role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations and patient billing practices
