Overview

Macmillan Learning is seeking a Teaching and Learning Strategist (Psychology) to drive innovation in education by identifying and addressing pedagogical needs for their courseware and digital solutions. This role involves collaborating with various teams and building relationships with instructors to inform product development and enhance teaching effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide pedagogical insights to inform investment decisions and support innovative experimentation.
  • Gather data through interactions and structured discovery with instructors and departments.
  • Collaborate with Course Product Managers to develop insights based on platform data.
  • Build and sustain a diverse instructor network for product development and adoption.
  • Participate in customer-facing sales situations to demonstrate course solutions.
  • Continuously evaluate competitor platforms and instructional practices.
  • Create artifacts to communicate customer needs to cross-functional teams.
  • Educate colleagues on emerging instructional trends and pedagogical implications.

Required skills

  • Master's Degree in Psychology
  • 5 years of experience teaching Psychology at the collegiate level or in educational publishing
  • Curriculum design experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize information
  • Experience with learning management or courseware solutions
  • Interest in AI in education and analytics-driven personalization
  • Familiarity with current trends in Psychology education
