Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the aide helps ensure a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom experience for all students.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in creating a learning and emotional environment that promotes each child's growth and developmentSupport classroom activities, lesson preparation, and mealtimesHelp maintain classroom management and implement daily schedules and routinesEncourage positive behavior and a productive learning environmentSupport students with and without special needsProvide general supervision of children under the direction of the classroom teacherMaintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked classroom and building environmentAssist with before-school and after-school wraparound childcare programsPerform other duties as assigned
