Overview

The Teacher at CoxHealth's South Learning Center is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years. This role involves assisting Lead Teachers in planning and executing academic and nonacademic activities, while ensuring compliance with state regulations and promoting child development.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
  • Assist Lead Teachers in planning and coordinating activities
  • Help teach and implement learning objectives for various age groups
  • Greet parents and children during drop-off and pick-up
  • Perform daily tasks such as diapering, laundry, and cleaning
  • Ensure compliance with child/staff ratios and regulatory standards
  • Stock supplies for daily activities

  • Preferred: College hours related to early childhood education
