Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the clients' maturity. Create and maintain accurate client/administrative documents such as daily attendance and grade books; summarize achievements in reports for assigned clients including attendance and behavior. Develop daily lesson plans and complete all required educational paperwork Participate as an educational team member in coordination with the clients, staff, and school and represent the program in professional meetings, family meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops. Support the Abraxas philosophy and mission and promote the Seven Key Principles of care. Demonstrate appropriate use of Safe Crisis Management techniques and skills. Who We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you are: Compassionate Dependable Patient Team-Oriented Service-Focused Professional Positive Committed to Helping Others Qualifications Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree in related field in subject matter that is utilized for teaching experience PA Teaching Certification (Public School Certification (public I or II) or Private Academic School Certification), or ability to work under and maintain an emergency permit. Experience using effective behavior management techniques in relating to children to encourage participation and positive relationships and demonstrates enthusiasm in lessons. Other Qualifications: At least twenty-one (21) years of age Must have a valid Driver's License Physical exam that includes TB and drug testing. Must pass both federal and state background
