Job Description

Overview

As a Teacher at The Rice School with KinderCare Education, you will lead and nurture the development of children during out-of-school time, helping to create a confident and engaged learning environment. Your role will involve mentoring less experienced teachers, implementing curriculum tailored to individual needs, and building strong relationships with families and the community.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers
  • Implement KinderCare's curriculum tailored to each child's needs
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for learning
  • Partner with parents to provide the best care and education
  • Support center goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, staff, and community partners

Required skills

  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations
  • Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or NAEYC candidacy
  • 2-3 years Early Childhood Education experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Physical ability to lift at least 40 pounds and engage in physical activities
  • Proficient in English to communicate effectively with children and parents
