Overview

As a Teacher at Reardan Edwall Elementary with KinderCare Education, you will play a crucial role in supporting elementary-aged children during out-of-school time. You will lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers, implement KinderCare's curriculum tailored to each child's needs, and create a nurturing environment for learning and growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers in the classroom
  • Implement KinderCare's curriculum consistent with individual child needs
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and play
  • Partner with parents to provide the best care and education
  • Support center success by achieving goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, and community partners

Required skills

  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations
  • Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or NAEYC candidacy requirements
  • 2-3 years of Early Childhood Education experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
  • Effective communication in English with children and parents
