Overview

North Bay Children is seeking a Teacher to work in their Early Childhood Education (ECE) program in Sonoma, California. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in ECE, relevant educational units, and a Child Development Teaching Permit. This role involves working collaboratively with other staff members and maintaining a professional environment for the children.

Key responsibilities

  • Adhere to all NBCC policies and procedures
  • Maintain general housekeeping tasks for a professional environment
  • Obtain and maintain Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
  • Engage in self-assessment and participate in performance evaluations
  • Assist in securing substitutes during absences
  • Attend NBCC Staff Development Days
  • Support teaching team in implementing child behavior plans
  • Maintain supervision of children at all times
  • Maintain safe and orderly classrooms and play areas
  • Conduct daily set-up of classrooms and outdoor areas
  • Foster relationships with parents through open communication
  • Report all injuries to the Head Teacher or Site Supervisor

Required skills

  • 2 - 5 years of experience in Early Childhood Education
  • 12 - 24 ECE units
  • Child Development Teaching Permit or higher
  • Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
  • Team collaboration skills
  • Strong communication skills
