Overview

North Bay Children is seeking a Teacher to work in their early childhood education program in Santa Rosa, California. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and hold the necessary qualifications for a Child Development Teaching Permit.

Key responsibilities

  • Adhere to all NBCC policies and procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the classroom
  • Obtain and maintain Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
  • Engage in self-assessment and job performance evaluation
  • Manage appropriate substitute arrangements as needed
  • Support and implement child behavior plans and interventions
  • Maintain required supervision of children in accordance with licensing standards
  • Assist in creating a safe and inviting environment for children
  • Develop relationships with parents through open communication
  • Report injuries incurred by children or staff
  • Fulfill physical requirements of the job including lifting and moving

Required skills

  • 2 - 5 years of experience in early childhood education
  • 12 - 24 ECE units
  • Associate Child Development Teaching Permit or higher
  • First Aid Certification
  • Team collaboration and communication skills
  • Positive reinforcement techniques
  • Ability to maintain physical demands of the job
