Overview

North Bay Children is seeking a Teacher for their early childhood education program in Sonoma, California. The ideal candidate will have experience in ECE and be committed to fostering a positive learning environment while adhering to regulations and best practices in child development.

Key responsibilities

  • Adhere to all NBCC policies and procedures
  • Maintain an orderly and professional environment
  • Obtain and maintain Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
  • Engage in self-assessment and participate in performance evaluations
  • Ensure appropriate supervision of children at all times
  • Assist in maintaining safe and inviting classrooms and play areas
  • Develop meaningful relationships with parents through open communication
  • Support implementation of child behavior plans and interventions

Required skills

  • 2 - 5 years of experience in early childhood education (ECE)
  • 12 - 24 ECE units or CTC Associate Teacher permit
  • Associate Child Development Teaching Permit or higher
  • Classroom management and behavior intervention skills
  • Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet physical demands of the job
  • Team collaboration and communication skills
