Tax Supervisor CPA Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 Why This Opportunity Stands Out: Clear path from heavy preparation work into review, client interaction, and tax planning• Direct exposure to firm leadership and meaningful client relationships from day one• Opportunity to work closely with business owners, high-income individuals, and complex tax scenarios• Ability to influence processes, workflows, and overall tax practice as the firm grows• Maintain technical ownership while expanding into higher-level advisory work• Hands-on experience across both compliance and strategic tax planning• High-visibility role without large-firm bureaucracy or layers Key Responsibilities for the CPA Tax Supervisor: Prepare and own complex individual and business tax returns• Handle S corp, partnership, and closely held business tax engagements• Participate in client meetings and gradually take on direct communication• Identify tax planning opportunities and follow-up actions• Begin reviewing returns and supporting staff development• Collaborate with leadership on process improvements and workflow efficiency Qualifications for the CPA Tax Supervisor: Active CPA license required• Strong recent public accounting tax preparation experience• Experience with complex individual and closely held business returns• Background as Tax Supervisor, Senior ready for next step, or early Tax Manager• Experience with multi-entity and/or multi-state tax work preferred• Exposure to review responsibilities or client interaction is a plus
