Overview

Golden Reserve LLC is looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join their Cleveland office. The successful candidate will prepare and file tax returns for clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws while providing exceptional client service. This role also involves managing the tax preparation process and contributing to the growth of the tax department within the company.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals
  • Review financial records and documentation for accuracy
  • Identify tax credits, deductions, and beneficial strategies for clients
  • Communicate clearly with clients to gather information and explain outcomes
  • Stay current on changes to tax laws and regulations
  • Maintain organized and confidential client records
  • Collaborate with internal team members as needed

Required skills

  • EA designation is a plus
  • Five (5)+ years of tax preparation, accounting, and tax planning experience
  • Proficiency with tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, UltraTax)
  • Excellent communication skills for team and client interaction
  • Leadership skills to manage a multi-location team
  • Problem-solving abilities and a strong work ethic
