Golden Reserve LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join their team in Independence, Ohio. The role involves preparing and filing accurate tax returns for clients while ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws, and delivering high-quality client service. Golden Reserve is a full-service financial firm that caters to retirees and is focused on growth and development within their team of financial professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals
  • Review financial records, income statements, and documentation to ensure accuracy
  • Identify tax credits, deductions, and strategies that benefit clients
  • Communicate clearly with clients to gather necessary information and explain outcomes
  • Stay current on changes to tax laws and regulations
  • Maintain organized and confidential client records
  • Collaborate with internal team members as needed

Required skills

  • EA designation a plus
  • Five (5)+ years of tax preparation, accounting, and tax planning experience
  • Proficiency with tax preparation software (Drake, UltraTax, or similar)
  • Excellent communication skills for managing and inspiring a team and clients
  • Management skills for leading a multi-location team
  • Problem-solving and accountability mindset
