Position Overview: As a Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and reporting for our services manufacturing company. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all tax regulations, minimizing tax liabilities, and identifying opportunities for tax savings. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex tax matters to stakeholders at all levels. Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for the company. Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize the company's tax position. Conduct research on tax issues and regulations to ensure compliance and identify tax-saving opportunities. Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure accurate reporting of financial data for tax purposes. Review and analyze financial statements to assess tax implications and ensure accuracy in tax reporting. Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company and provide guidance on potential implications. Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, including preparing responses and supporting documentation as needed. Provide guidance and support to finance and accounting teams on tax-related matters, including providing training as necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably in a manufacturing or services industry. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
