Overview

Intuit is looking for motivated individuals to join as Tax Experts at TurboTax locations across the United States for the seasonal tax season. This role combines tax knowledge with community engagement, allowing experts to assist customers with tax preparation and advice, while fostering long-term client relationships and loyalty to TurboTax.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a proactive community ambassador representing TurboTax locally
  • Engage with new prospects and convert them into long-term clients through outreach
  • Lead local events and participate in marketing to make tax topics accessible
  • Provide hands-on tax advice and preparation services for clients
  • Facilitate tax reviews to uncover deductions and provide future planning advice
  • Create exceptional customer experiences through professionalism and genuine interest
  • Interact with customers both in-person and using video communication tools
  • Address client inquiries and help overcome tax-related challenges

Required skills

  • Active EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney credential
  • Strong tax preparation experience and knowledge of tax laws
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience filing 50+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season
  • Familiarity with Circular 230
  • Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
  • Flexible availability for 25-34 hour weekly schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with technology, including tax preparation software and CRM tools
  • Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) are a plus
  • Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing
