ACCRUITY Tax Compliance Associate Is this YOU A production-focused accountant who has been in the thick of a CPA firm's busy season and knows what it takes to push a high volume of returns through a system without things breaking down?Someone who can own the full coordination layer between clients, an offshore return prep team, and internal reviewers - keeping every return moving without being chased?A tracker by nature - open items, due dates, and filing statuses are always current because you made them that way?Energized by the operational side of tax: getting returns through the system on time rather than being the face in front of the client?Someone who thrives on checklists and well-defined processes - the more moving parts, the more in your element? We're seeking a Tax Compliance Associate to be the right hand of our Tax Compliance Execution Leader. Accruity is a real estate-focused accounting and advisory firm with a fast-growing tax compliance practice - and we run it through an efficient, offshore-leveraged delivery model where a pay-per-return team handles core return preparation and our onshore staff ensures quality, completeness, and on-time filing. Your job is to keep returns moving from intake to final filing without getting stuck. You manage the coordination layer between clients, our offshore prep team, and internal reviewers. You track everything. You close loops. You escalate before timelines are missed, not after. What You'll DoTax Workpaper Preparation & Review Support - Prepare and maintain all workpapers required to support accurate and complete client tax filings; flag deficiencies before return prep begins so nothing stalls mid-workflow.Client Document Intake & Open Item Tracking - Own the client document collection process across all engagements; review every intake for completeness; follow up proactively on missing items; maintain a real-time open item log accessible to you and the Execution Leader at any moment.Return Preparation Coordination - Assign, manage, and monitor return prep tasks with our offshore pay-per-return team; enforce firm standards on output quality; escalate delays and deficiencies immediately rather than absorbing them.Filing Package Completion - Prepare final filing packages, e-file authorizations, client delivery materials, and internal documentation for every completed return - nothing leaves the system incomplete.Client Filing Status Updates - Keep the Tax Compliance Execution Leader and internal stakeholders current on return status, blockers, approaching deadlines, and next steps; maintain visibility so the team can act, not react.
