Overview

Intuit is looking for motivated Tax Associates to join their TurboTax team in Chicago on a seasonal basis. This role combines tax expertise and community engagement to help customers with their tax needs while driving TurboTax's client base in the local area. Associates will serve both in-person and virtually, empowering clients through effective tax preparation and advice.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a community ambassador for TurboTax, engaging with prospects and nurturing leads.
  • Provide hands-on tax advice and preparation for clients, handling simple to complex tax situations.
  • Conduct discovery sessions and tax reviews to identify deductions and optimize tax liabilities.
  • Create an exceptional customer experience by building long-term relationships and addressing client inquiries.
  • Utilize TurboTax marketing support to enhance business growth and community presence.

Required skills

  • 3+ years of experience filing 50+ federal and state individual tax returns using professional software.
  • Knowledge of Circular 230 and tax-related compliance.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with technology, including tax preparation software and CRM tools.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
