Job Description

Overview

Intuit is looking for proactive and motivated Tax Associates to join their new TurboTax retail locations on a seasonal basis. This role uniquely combines tax expertise with community engagement to help customers navigate their tax needs, establish long-term relationships, and drive customer loyalty while supporting Intuit's mission of 'Powering Prosperity Around the World.' Tax Associates will provide full-service tax return preparation, advice, and support, both in-person and virtually.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a community ambassador for TurboTax, engaging with new prospects and converting leads into long-term clients.
  • Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for clients, addressing simple to complex tax situations.
  • Conduct discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions and provide future tax planning advice.
  • Create exceptional customer experiences through professionalism and genuine interest in client financial goals.
  • Interact with customers using video communication tools and address tax-related inquiries.

Required skills

  • Must possess or obtain relevant state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds and an active Preparer Tax Identificatio
  • Minimum of 3 years experience filing 50 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season
  • Familiarity with Circular 230 and professional tax preparation software
  • Ability to work a flexible 25-34 hour weekly schedule, including weekends and evenings
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with technology including tax preparation software and CRM/sales tools
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
