Overview

Intuit is looking for enthusiastic Tax Associates to join their team at seasonal TurboTax retail locations in Chicago. This role combines tax expertise with community engagement to help customers navigate tax needs, providing both in-person and virtual support while building long-term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Be a proactive community ambassador for TurboTax, engaging with new prospects and nurturing leads.
  • Provide hands-on tax advice and prepare tax returns for clients with varying complexities.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions to identify deductions and tax planning opportunities.
  • Create exceptional customer experiences by connecting with clients and addressing their inquiries.
  • Participate in local marketing and events to make tax topics accessible.

Required skills

  • 3 years of experience filing 50 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns annually using professional tax pr
  • Ability to obtain relevant state licenses and an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
  • Familiarity with Circular 230.
  • Flexibility to work a 25-34 hour weekly schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to build long-term relationships.
  • Proficient in tax preparation software and CRM/sales tools.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication is a plus.
