Overview

Intuit is looking for highly motivated individuals to join their team as Tax Associates - Retail On-Site in Dallas, Texas, for the tax season. This role involves providing tax expertise, community engagement, and customer service while helping clients with their tax needs using TurboTax products. Tax Associates will work on-site and engage with the community to grow TurboTax's client base.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a proactive community ambassador, representing TurboTax and engaging with new prospects.
  • Provide hands-on tax advice and complete tax return preparation services for clients.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions to uncover deductions and provide future tax planning advice.
  • Create an exceptional customer experience by genuinely helping clients achieve their financial goals.
  • Interact with clients both in-person and through video communication tools.
  • Address client inquiries and assist in overcoming tax-related challenges.

Required skills

  • Possess or be able to obtain relevant State licenses and active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
  • Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing federal and state individual 1040 tax returns.
  • Familiarity with Circular 230 and tax preparation software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency with technology, including tax preparation software and CRM/sales tools.
