Overview

Join a high-performing tax department at EIG Services, Inc., a publicly traded workers' compensation insurance company, as a Tax Analyst in a hybrid role based in Reno, NV. In this position, you will be responsible for premium tax, assessment, and income tax compliance while working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare periodic premium tax and assessment filings using detailed Excel calculations.
  • Gather and analyze data across various systems and maintain organized workpapers.
  • Manage your own calendar to ensure timely and accurate filings.
  • Perform complex general ledger entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist with federal, state, and local income tax compliance.
  • Support quarterly and annual GAAP and STAT tax provisions, deferred tax analyses, and intercompany settlements.
  • Independently research and interpret state tax regulations.
  • Contribute to improving department tools, processes, and best practices.

Required skills

  • 2-4 years in public accounting, corporate tax, or a combination
  • Experience with ASC 740 income tax provisions
  • Prior work with a publicly traded company (NYSE or NASDAQ)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Familiarity with general ledger software
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Collaborative and team-oriented
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • Master's degree in Tax highly desirable
