Overview

Jobot is seeking a dynamic and motivated Tax Accountant to join their innovative CPA firm, providing a unique opportunity to work remotely while supporting over 500 clients in tax preparation and small business accounting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting and excellent communication skills as they will regularly interact with clients to address their financial needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Preparing accurate and timely individual and business tax returns
  • Assisting clients with financial and tax planning
  • Managing financial records including invoices, receipts, and tax payments
  • Utilizing QuickBooks to track and analyze financial data
  • Providing insightful information to aid in decision making
  • Reviewing complex income, expense, and balance sheet reports for accuracy
  • Preparing financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements
  • Communicating with clients to understand their financial needs

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and accounting software
  • Experience with individual and business tax preparation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • CPA certification preferred but not required
