Overview

Intuit is seeking motivated individuals for the role of Tax Expert - Retail On-Site, a seasonal position located in Wilmette, Illinois. This role combines tax expertise with community engagement, allowing Tax Experts to serve customers in-person and virtually, focusing on tax preparation and advisory services while fostering long-term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a proactive community ambassador for TurboTax.
  • Engage with new prospects and convert them into long-term clients through outreach.
  • Lead local events and promote TurboTax in the community.
  • Provide tax advice and preparation services for various tax situations.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to optimize deductions and maximize refunds.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences through professionalism and genuine interest.
  • Address client inquiries and help them overcome tax-related challenges.

Required skills

  • Active EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney credential.
  • Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience filing 50 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns.
  • Familiarity with Circular 230.
  • Flexible availability for 25-34 hours weekly, including afternoons and weekends.
  • Collaborative team working skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency with tax preparation software and CRM/sales tools.
