Overview

Intuit is looking for motivated individuals to fill the role of Tax Accountant - In-Store in Chicago, Illinois, on a seasonal basis. This position combines tax expertise with community engagement to help customers navigate their tax needs while supporting Intuit's mission of "Powering Prosperity Around the World." The role involves providing tax return preparation, advice, and customer support at a TurboTax location.

Key responsibilities

  • Engage with new prospects and convert them into long-term clients through proactive outreach.
  • Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for clients.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions to uncover deductions and minimize tax liabilities.
  • Create exceptional customer experiences through professionalism and genuine interest in clients' financial goals.
  • Interact with customers both in-person and virtually using Intuit's tools.

Required skills

  • Active, unrestricted EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney credential
  • Minimum 3 years of experience filing 50 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per season
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently
  • Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) are a plus
