Overview

Choctaw Premier Services is seeking a TAP Financial Counselor to support transitioning Service Members and their families with financial planning. This role involves leading workshops, providing one-on-one counseling, and assisting clients in evaluating their financial situations to establish actionable goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning workshops for groups of approximately 50 Soldiers and Family Members
  • Provide personalized one-on-one financial counseling
  • Help clients evaluate income and expenditures and create financial goals
  • Address complex financial issues and coordinate solutions
  • Prepare monthly reports on financial planning activities and counseling sessions
  • Complete mandated government training and manage confidentiality of PII
  • Conduct marketing activities and engage in event participation as directed

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Financial Counselor Certification
  • Experience in financial counseling and managing client caseloads
  • Ability to conduct group workshops and one-on-one sessions
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in maintaining confidentiality and security protocols
