Overview

The Lead Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive talent acquisition framework for a VC-backed startup focused on AI solutions. This role involves building recruiting systems, leading the hiring strategy, and directly delivering critical early hires while working closely with the company's founders and executives.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and execute the company's early-stage hiring plan
  • Partner with leadership to define organizational structure and role requirements
  • Lead full cycle recruiting for technical, operational, and leadership positions
  • Build scalable recruiting systems including ATS setup and interview frameworks
  • Establish equitable hiring processes to support quality and diversity
  • Create and refine the organization's talent brand and outreach materials
  • Advise executives on selection best practices and candidate experience
  • Track and report hiring progress using data to guide strategy

Required skills

  • 8+ years of talent acquisition experience
  • 3+ years in a senior or lead role
  • Proven success building recruiting functions and employer brand
  • Ability to hire across technical, operational, and leadership roles
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with metrics-driven decision making
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience scaling an organization from under 20 to over 100 employees
