Overview

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer specializing in Information Assurance to join their team in Southampton, Pennsylvania. This role involves applying expertise in systems engineering, security, and cryptography to develop and certify solutions that protect classified National Security information, specifically within the realms of high-assurance encryption and secure communication systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Apply security and cryptography expertise throughout the Systems Engineering lifecycle.
  • Support design, development, and testing of high-assurance security solutions.
  • Develop Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and decompose security requirements.
  • Assist with NSA certification activities and secure networking integration.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Systems Lead for Information Assurance.
  • Plan, develop, and execute verification activities for security features.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Master's preferred)
  • Active DoD security clearance (SECRET minimum)
  • 10+ years of Systems Engineering experience in Information Assurance
  • Experience with system integration and test for complex systems
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
  • Familiarity with NSA Type-1 certification lifecycle
  • Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
