Job Description

Overview

As a Systems Engineer II at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems driving innovation, safety, and efficiency. This on-site position based in Mississauga, Ontario, involves collaborating with cross-functional teams on advanced projects that align with Honeywell's quality standards and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate the design and development of advanced hardware and software systems
  • Execute complex engineering projects leveraging over 10 years of project management experience
  • Guide the deployment and configuration of systems, ensuring optimal performance through test automation and validation
  • Provide technical guidance in troubleshooting system issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Perform technical execution and risk management for new product development
  • Interface with Integrated Program Team members to drive project success
  • Conduct requirement analysis and develop technical solutions, including testing strategies
  • Design and develop test cases and scripts for Complex Electronic Hardware Requirements
  • Contribute to system design team meetings with strong documentation skills

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in technical disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Sciences, Technology, Engineering, or Mathema
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems engineering, manufacturing engineering, or quality assurance
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems integration and troubleshooting
  • Professional Engineering (P.Eng) designation is valued
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with navigation and sensor products
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink
  • Experience with requirements management tools like DOORS
  • Strong data validation and process optimization skills, including experience in VBA and Google App Script
